The official desktop application of WhatsApp for Windows allows you to stay in touch anytime, anywhere, on your phone or computer at home or at work. The application itself is quite similar to WhatsApp Web that was supposed to be an extension of your phone: the application reflects conversations and messages from your mobile device.
The offline PC WhatsApp installer is available for Windows 8 and later and is synchronized with your mobile device. Because the application runs natively on the desktop, it will support native desktop notifications and keyboard shortcuts.
Like WhatsApp Web, the new desktop Applets will message you with friends and family while your phone stays in your pocket. WhatsApp must be installed on your cell phone so you can use WhatsApp on your PC. WhatsApp only supports 64-bit versions of Windows.
Note: WhatsApp must be pre-installed on the mobile phone.
